Testimonials / Testimonios

Here you can read some testimonials from families who attended our previous programs, Big Trees and Early Ecology Forest School.

  • Gentleness and sense of humor

Big Trees was pretty much my favorite educational institution have ever come across for any age student. Not only my 2 kids, but I myself as a parent, have learned so much from Sara and Rocio. The teachers relate to the children with so much respect and patience, but also with joy and humor. I have two boys with very different personalities and for each of them, it was a transformative experience. My older son had been deemed "not ready for preschool" (because of some pretty strong anxiety) and asked by a different school to leave the school. Sara and Rocio were so incredibly insightful, gentle and wise about bringing him into the space.

  • Child-led and child-atunement

Our child attended forest school with Eva and Darci for three years, from ages 2-5. It was a transformative experience for our whole family. My partner and I are both in education and were consistently blown away with the child-led learning we saw every day in the forest. Our child left their care with a deep love of our natural world, an amazing ability for self-directed play, incredible confidence and ability to accurately predict his physical abilities, and was so loved every day. They were so attuned and attentive -- they led groups of toddlers and preschoolers in the most incredible ways! Almost every day when I dropped off I just wanted to stay in the forest with them all!

  • Imagination and self confidence

Rocio and Sara are beyond nurturing and caring and make a mama who can't be with her child feel at ease knowing that they are leaving their child in the best hands. Big Trees was a magical place for any child. A place where imagination and play-based learning could truly be cultivated. Our son had attended Big Trees for a couple months in which time he had broken out of his shell and comes home every day with new things learned and a higher sense of confidence.
