El Nido is a nature-based Spanish immersion program designed for TK–1st grade students, and for children with early dismissal at Berkeley school district or Oakland school district and homeschoolers.
Held entirely in a forest setting, Nido offers the perfect balance of language learning and outdoor exploration. Through songs, games, movement, and art, children practice Spanish while developing a deep connection to the natural world.
The program is led by two highly experienced Forest School educators, Eva Sivill, one of the founders at Roots y Ramas Forest School who’s been an educator for multiple grades from preschool to 6th grade for over 15 years and Elena Topete with more than a decade as a Lead teacher at Escuelita del bosque, who bring years of expertise in both early childhood education and nature-based learning. Nido is more than an enrichment program—it’s a joyful, nurturing space for curiosity, creativity, and cultural connection to thrive.
Nido is offered on Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm in Berkeley. Location will be send over email once you sign up.
We are actively enrolling for other days (Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays). If you have a group of at least 6 children, contact us at nidoenrichment@gmail.com and we’ll find a Nature space in your area!
